Travis Nichols comes to Wildfire with over a decade of coaching experience across the club, high school, and collegiate levels. Travis is currently the Assistant Coach at Lynn University, a position he has held since 2019. During that time frame, Lynn has qualified for the NCAA Tournament every year, including the program’s first ever Sweet 16 appearances in 2023. Travis has helped coach Lynn to their first ever Sunshine State Conference Championship in 2019. Since his arrival at Lynn, the Fighting Knights have amassed 15 All-Conference players, 10 AVCA All-Region players (including the 2019 Region Player of the Year), 10 AVCA All-Americans, and 2 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.
Travis started coaching with Wildfire for the 2021-2022 Season. That year his 17’s team won a USAV National Championship in Indianapolis. He previously spent time at both Boomers Volleyball Academy and USA South Volleyball Club. While at Boomers, Travis coached his 12’s team to a 5th place finish at USAV Nationals in 2019.
