Coach Tammy began her volleyball journey as a player at Utah State University. She was a DS, pin hitter, and setter. She served as team captain for two years. After graduating from Utah State as a teacher and she began her coaching career immediately after leaving school.
In August 1993, she became Broward Community College’s Head Volleyball Coach, where she stayed for 2 years while working on her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from FAU. She was fortunate enough to be mentored by several great coaches in that time including Dave Nichols, Cookie Stevens and Coach Lyelin. Afterwards, she decided to move into the high school environment to spend more time with her growing family.
Tammy played professional beach volleyball for a total of 15 years while continuing to coach at both the high school and club levels. She has enjoyed seeing her children grow up in the volleyball community and make so many great friends along the way. She has coached players from 10u to 18u and is currently coaching the 18u National American team at Wildfire during her 3rd year with the club.
